We regret to announce the Exotic Feline Breeding Compound (EFBC, Feline Conservation Center, wildcatzoo, the Cat House) has PERMANENTLY CLOSED as of February 2023.

On February 9, 26 cats were relocated to accredited new homes in Texas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Two more left the following week. The remaining 26 cats left on February 24, 25, and 26. No cats remain in Rosamond. Relocation list is here if you want to visit them (not all will be on display)

Check out the cat updates on the Facebook page, including Raja, Bagheera, Zeya, Poppy & Sage, Fath, Xeno, and Tracy.

We have been dedicated to the protection and preservation of wild felines for over 40 years. We were founded in 1977 and opened to the public in 1983.

Many thanks to everyone who made donations since the closure. The GoFundMe raised over $10,000 which went towards food, keeper wages, the electric bill, and relocation costs. The gift shop sale on March 4 raised $11,293 (including some of the OfferUp sales). The sale on April 29 raised just over $10,000. We are still paying off bills. Many thanks to Windswept Ranch in Rosamond for picking up the scheduled tours we could no longer support.

Link to 2018 version of website for old cat photos. The CafePress store is still available for T-shirts and many other items.

The facility will still have electric and water bills going forward (the phone lines no longer work) while court cases/bankruptcy are being resolved. Checks can still be sent (made out to the full name Exotic Feline Breeding Compound) to: 3718 60th Street West. Rosamond, CA 93560
